Conference Report “Embodying Reformation”

Between the 19th and 20th of May 2023, the POLY Research Group held its annual conference in Bad Homburg. Led by Birgit Emich (Goethe University Frankfurt), Iryna Klymenko (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich), and Alexandra Walsham (University of Cambridge), the symposium aimed to trace the role of the body during the religious upheavals of the European Reformation. By bringing together scholars from across Europe and North America to examine these themes comparatively, it initiated new conversations and foster fresh research. A report of the conference is available on H-Soz-Kult (in German).
